A Vision Born from Personal Experience
RUOK Collective isn't just a clothing brand; it's a movement. It's a testament to the power of human connection and the importance of mental health.
The idea for RUOK Collective was sparked during the pandemic. As the world grappled with uncertainty and isolation, it became increasingly clear that mental health was becoming a globally recognized topic. While awareness was growing, many people still struggled silently.
I wanted to create something that could break the silence and foster open conversations. Something that would remind people that they're not alone.
After a bad back injury that left me unable to walk for a few months in 2021, I dealt with the worst depression I've ever experienced. What helped me bounce back were the conversations I had with people. Some of these people were family, friends and my girlfriend, but many more were from acquaintances and strangers. Knowing that I wasn't alone and that people cared helped give me the strength to pull myself out of that dark place. It reinforced the notion that a simple "Are you OK?" can have a profound impact.
Fast forward to 2024, when I partnered with my friend Saman to bring RUOK Collective to life. Together, we're committed to creating high-quality streetwear that not only looks good but also helps others know they are not alone.
